Two Major Collectors’ Events in Bangkok: Eur-Seree Auction and Philatelic Exhibition
Bangkok has become one of the key hubs for collectors in Southeast Asia. In August 2025, I had the chance to attend two major events: the Eur-Seree Auction and the Thailand 2025 Asian International Stamp Exhibition at the Bangkok General Post Office on Charoen Krung Road.

Eur-Seree Auction in Bangkok
The auction house Eur-Seree Collecting Co., Ltd., founded by Vitoon Eurtivong, has long been regarded as Thailand’s leading platform for banknotes and coins.
The latest auction, ESC #70, was held from 6–10 August 2025 at the Montien Riverside Hotel in Bangkok. The catalog featured a wide range of highlights — from early Siamese banknotes to rare issues of King Rama IX. Some lots sold for prices well above their estimates, reflecting the strong demand for Thai numismatic rarities.
For me, participating in the auction was not just about bidding. It was also about comparing banknote grades in person, seeing rare pieces up close, and networking with fellow collectors.

👉 The next sale has already been announced: ESC Sale #71 will take place on 6–7 December 2025 at the Montien Riverside Hotel, Bangkok, with lot viewing scheduled for 3–6 December 2025.
Eur-Seree Address: 1256/8 Nakornchaisri Road, Bangkok, Thailand
I would like to sincerely thank the organizers and especially the founder Vitoon Eurtivong for maintaining such a high level of professionalism and for creating a platform that unites collectors from all over the world.
Philatelic Exhibition at the General Post Office
The Thailand 2025 Asian International Stamp Exhibition was held from 8–12 August 2025 at the historic Grand Postal Building (Bangkok General Post Office) on Charoen Krung Road in Bang Rak.

Although my main focus is banknote collecting, I found this exhibition truly inspiring. Visitors could explore rare Thai stamps, first-day covers, and thematic collections dedicated to the royal family and major historic events. The venue itself, with its monumental façade and spacious halls, added a sense of timelessness to the exhibition.

Final Thoughts
Attending these two events confirmed once again that Bangkok remains a key destination for collectors of banknotes, coins, and stamps in Southeast Asia.
- The Eur-Seree Auction (6–10 August 2025) gave me the opportunity to see rare banknotes in person and engage with fellow numismatists.
- The Philatelic Exhibition (8–12 August 2025) broadened my perspective on Thai history through stamps and postal materials.
Special thanks to the organizers of both events for their efforts and hospitality. These gatherings not only enrich collections but also strengthen the sense of belonging to an international community of collectors.
